Born on 6th October 2000, Addison Rae Easterling is just 20 years old. She found fame on TikTok, after a dance video with her mum went viral. After surpassing over 70 million followers, Addison Rae is now TikTok’s highest earner!

How did Addison become so famous?

While the rest of us can only dream of making the kinda cash Addison does, around $5 million a year?! What’s even harder to believe is she didn’t even know TikTok existed until 2019. It wasn’t until Addison was babysitting a bunch of middle school kids who were all obsessed with the app, that she decided to upload a video herself…as a joke! After her first video took off in July 2019, she quickly got her mum involved, helping her to reach more people, surpassing the 1 million followers mark by October of the same year.

Within a matter of months, Addison went from cramming for college classes in her native town of Louisiana, to living it up in LA. The overnight TikTok sensation dropped out of  Louisiana State University in November 2019, before moving to Los Angeles with her family just a couple of weeks later.

Before uploading her first TikTok in July 2019, Addison had only recently graduated from high school and ended a 5 year relationship with a mystery man! It’s crazy how much life can change in a year.

Addison’s professional dancing background certainly helped her huge TikTok success, having been dancing professionally since the age of six, she was certainly no stranger to being centre stage.

Currently the second most followed person on TikTok, Addison has over 70 million followers.

Kardashian Konnections

In the summer of 2020, Addison was spotted Keeping Up With Kourtney Kardashian a LOT! The two became besties for the summer, we’re talking duo trips and matching ‘fits kinda besties…

Are you wondering how their friendship came about? Well, Kourtney’s eldest son Mason is actually a HUGE Addison Rae fan. Kourt invited Addison over as a sort of ‘gift’ for Mason, so he could hang out with her and create some fun TikTok content. Addison said that she  kinda just ‘stuck around’ after their planned hangout and their unexpected friendship blossomed from there. From creating TikToks with the Kardashian family, to regular Nobu dates with Kourt, Addison became part of the Kar-Jenner gang for the summer, even taking a luxury trip to Palm Springs with Kourtney.  

Family Fun

Addison isn’t the only famous one in her family, infact her entire family is on TikTok! After taking it in turns to appear in Addison’s viral videos, her mum Sheri, dad Monty and two younger brothers all signed up to the app themselves and have all grown quite the following.  

Addison also hosts a Spotify-exclusive podcast with her mum Sheri; ‘Mama Knows Best’. The pair appear to be super close, with the podcast touching on young adulthood, dating, social media and relationships.

Crazy Career

Whilst attending Louisiana State University, Addison’s goal was to become a broadcast journalist, with her main focus being sports. However, after leaving university to pursue her TikTok career, there’s been no shortage of exciting opportunities available to Addison.

From multiple collaborations with high profile brands including Skims, American Eagle and Spotify, Addison also launched her own make up line and merchandise. 

Known for her trademark ‘pouty face’, Addison capitalised on this, launching a line of merchandise featuring the slogan. This included sweatshirts, notebooks, phone cases and even a necklace.

She then went on to collaborate with Ipsy and launch her own makeup line ‘Item Beauty’, featuring six ‘must-have’ makeup products.

Having grown up dreaming of gracing the big screen, Addison’s TikTok fame has also led her to appear in a couple of  movies. From taking on the role of ‘Rosalinde’ in animated movie ‘Spy Cat’, to being cast as one of the starring roles in the spin off of ‘She’s All That’, it’s fair to say Addison is well on the way to making a name for herself in Hollywood.
